HYBRID: Third Tuesday Author: Kesha Ajose Fisher
Please join us on Tuesday, December 19 at 5:30pm for a presentation by award-winning author Kesha Ajose Fisher.
Kesha Ajose Fisher is the author of No God Like the Mother, a short story collection which won the 2020 Oregon Book Award in fiction. She is also an Oregon Literary Fellow and an aspiring leader of her very own dog army. She currently lives in Portland with her spouse, children and poodles, and is working on an upcoming novel and another collection of short stories. Much of her written work is guided by her childhood in Africa and America and an unshakable urge to change the female experience in the world. As a former social worker for immigrant and refugee families, she now spends her days hiking in the mornings, writing, and advocating for social justice through her work. Sometimes, she sleeps, sometimes she's consumed by the world's troubles, sometimes she remembers the good, and that makes it all worthwhile.
This event will take place in-person at the Library and will be livestreamed on LOPL's YouTube channel. Special thanks to Tualatin Valley Community Television for streaming and recording this program. Please visit MACC TVCTV's YouTube channel to enjoy this and a host of other great local programs.
