Tuesday, February 20, 2024 - 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Please join us on Tuesday, February 20 at 5:30pm for a presentation by local author Simon King.

Simon King is the author of The Romanian Incident, a locked door murder mystery set in a romantic hotel high in the mountains of Romania during the Cold War. When young KGB agent Polina Tolkunova arrives at the Hotel Teleki, she had no idea she would soon be facing not one, but two mysterious murders. She must now identify who committed the murders while considering all the clues to explain how and why the victims were killed. There is no shortage of suspects each with an apparent motive and method.

Simon King is an award-winning screenwriter, director, and film producer. A trained mathematician and former high tech business executive, Simon lives with his wife, Elena, and more than 2,500 books in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The Romanian Incident is his first novel. He is currently working on a YA title, Letters from Iceland, and a multi-generational story of murder and intrigue. The Romanian Incident is in pre-production as a feature film to be shot in Hungary.

This event will take place in-person at the Library and will be livestreamed on LOPL's YouTube channel.
