Library of Things: Backyard Bird Shop

In honor of our new Library of Things collection, please join us for a presentation by Elaine Murphy and the Backyard Bird Shop. In this basic bird program, Elaine will show slides of about a dozen or so of the most common birds of this area. She will also talk about tips for identifying birds and attracting them to your home. You will also have an opportunity to preview some items from our Library of Things collection, such as a birdwatching kit. 

Elaine been a birder for over 35 years. She has been teaching nature classes and leading bird walks since 1990. She currently leads bird walks and teaches classes for the Backyard Bird Shop as well as at the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District. Elaine has appeared as a guest speaker at numerous garden clubs and centers. This free event takes place at the library at 706 Fourth Street, Lake Oswego, OR 97034.
