NaNoWriMo
November is National Novel Writing Month AKA NaNoWriMo!
What is NaNoWriMo anyway?
“National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. Every November, writers around the world work to write 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days.”
Do I have to sign up on the NaNoWriMo website?
No, signing up for an account on NaNoWriMo.org is not required to participate. All that is required is that you spend time writing your novel during the month of November. The typical goal is to write 50,000 words, but you can set your own goal. However, signing up for an account on NaNoWriMo.org is a great way to track your progress and connect with other writers (aka WriMos).
When can I start writing?
Writing for NaNoWriMo begins at midnight on November 1st and lasts until 11:59 p.m. November 30th.
How does Lake Oswego Public Library fit into all of this?
Lake Oswego Public Library is a Come Write In Partner for NaNoWriMo. Tables will be reserved for NaNoWriMo participants on the second floor of the library throughout the month, but participants are welcome to write at any other available seating in the library as well. You're also invited to join us at our NaNoWriMo events throughout the month!
