Oregon Humanities Conversation Project: What Does Freedom Depend On? with Jennifer Alkezweeny

Sunday, June 7, 2026 - 11:00am to 12:30pm

Throughout 2026, Oregon Humanities is bringing Oregonians together to discuss democracy, freedom, and what it means to be American today and in the future. These 90-minute community conversations create space for participants to share experiences, listen to one another, and reflect together on the future of our democracy and our communities.

This program is part of the Beyond 250 Conversation Project, which coincides with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The project invites participants to consider our shared history and discuss the values we hope to carry forward into the next 250 years.

Lake Oswego Public Library received a mini grant to host the conversation What Does Freedom Depend On? facilitated by trained Oregon Humanities facilitator Jennifer Alkezweeny. Space is limited to 25 participants, and light refreshments will be provided.
