Seed Saving and the 2024 Adopt a Crop Project

Wednesday, June 5, 2024 - 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Join us on Wednesday, June 5 at 6pm for an informative presentation by Kay Everts, founder and manager of the Seeds for Sharing seed libraries at the Oak Lodge and Gladstone public libraries and manager of the community seed garden at New Urban High School in Oak Grove. She is a landrace gardener and seedkeeper and a graduate of the Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance Seed School.  Kay is currently on the “Going to Seed” advisory board.

If you are concerned about:

  • the impact of climate change on your garden
  • the loss of nutrients in our food supply
  • the loss of biodiversity

then this class is for you!

Learn basic seed saving skills and how you can participate in the 2024 community adopt a crop project.

This event will take place in-person at the Library and will be livestreamed on LOPL's YouTube channel.

The library is located at 706 Fourth Street, Lake Oswego.
