Welcome to the Lake Oswego Young Entrepreneurs Program, an initiative launched with the 2024 season at the Lake Oswego Farmers Market. The program is designed to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among young individuals in our community, providing them with a unique platform to showcase their creativity, confidently bring their products to market and cultivate their business acumen and innovative ideas in a supportive and enriching environment.
We are excited to announce our collaboration with Hunger Fighters Oregon, an organization committed to providing reliable access to nutritious food and essential hygiene items in an inclusive, accepting environment.
Farm Fresh Kids is a program that was developed in 2015 to educate youth on the benefits of healthy living. Children ages 4-12 are invited to participate in weekly activities at the market designed to teach them about good nutrition and making healthy choices in a fun and engaging way.
Each week a local school or organization sponsors our Kids' Corner and provides fun and engaging activities and crafts for our youngest market-goers.
Volunteering at the Lake Oswego Farmers' Market is a wonderful way to enrich the community, meet new friends and appreciate the complexity and intricate details of the market.
The federal government’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides low-income households with electronic benefits that they can use to purchase eligible foods at most grocery stores and participating farmers’ markets.
WIC/Senior FDNP: The Oregon Farm Direct Nutrition Program is a state-administered USDA Nutrition program that provides pre-printed checks to nutritionally at-risk young families enrolled in WIC (Women, Infants & Children) program and to eligible low-income seniors.
