Young Entrepreneurs Program at the Lake Oswego Farmers Market
Welcome to the Lake Oswego Young Entrepreneurs Program, an initiative launched with the 2024 season at the Lake Oswego Farmers Market. The program is designed to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among young individuals in our community, providing them with a unique platform to showcase their creativity, confidently bring their products to market and cultivate their business acumen and innovative ideas in a supportive and enriching environment.
About the Program
The Lake Oswego Young Entrepreneurs Program is an exciting opportunity for Lake Oswego youth in grades 9-12 to learn the fundamentals of business and entrepreneurship. Participants are invited to create their own handmade products and sell them directly to customers at the bustling Lake Oswego Farmers Market with up to 8,000 visitors each week.

1. Real-World Experience: Participants gain firsthand experience in running a small business, from concept to sales.
2. Skill Development: The program helps develop critical skills including communication, problem-solving, and money management.

Success Stories
In our inaugural season, many of our young entrepreneurs are thriving in our program, selling out of their products, taking special orders for custom items, and being commissioned to create something special and unique for members of our community. From handcrafted jewelry, hand-thrown pottery, and other beautiful works of art to homemade baked goods and delicious hot foods, our Farmers’ Market attendees are noticing and supporting the creativity and drive of our young participants.
How to Join
While applications for the Young Entrepreneur Program are closed for the 2024 market season, Young entrepreneurs interested in participating in the 2025 market season can complete this interest form, and we will reach out in the fall with more information and orientation dates

Come visit the Lake Oswego Farmers Market to support our young entrepreneurs! The market is open every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Millennium Plaza Park. Enjoy a day of shopping, delicious food, live music, and community spirit while discovering the next generation of business leaders.
