Author Visit to Oak Creek

On Thursday, April 25, our 2024 LO Reads author Thrity Umrigar will visit students from the 3rd-5th grades at Oak Creek Elementary to talk about her picture book Sugar in Milk, and her writing process. In addition to this special author visit, participating students will receive a signed hardback copy of the book, thanks to generous community support of our 2023 fundraising campaign and a matching grant from the Friends of the Lake Oswego Public Library.  Please note that signed copies of Sugar in Milk are available for free to all youth in the community, while supplies last, at the Library.
