CERT Basics with Deputy Fire Marshal Smith 4/15
Learn to be self-sufficient and resilient in the face of Oregon’s natural hazards by preparing for the critical period immediately following a disaster. Deputy Fire Marshal (DFM) David Smith will provide an overview of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and how you can take care of yourself, your family and your neighbors during a natural or manmade emergency. This training session will include topics such as providing medical care, fire extinguishment, building utility safety along with an introduction to Be 2 Weeks Ready from the Oregon Department of Emergency Management. This CERT-light training will be suitable for ages 13 and older.
