Differing Views on Climate Change 2/20

Friday, February 21, 2020

In Rising, Dispatches from the New American Shore, author Elizabeth Rush explores different ways we interpret, understand, and respond to the current changes on the American shore. Join Dr. Jessica Kleiss from Lewis & Clark College for an illustrated tour of the dramatic changes Earth's climate has experienced in the past. This perspective can help us put current and future climate change into context. We will discuss the many different ways that people understand and respond to the climate change problem.

Dr. Kleiss likes to explore mathematical ways to describe the world around her, and found her home in Oceanography and Atmospheric Science. She received her PH.D. from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego.
