Geography plays an important role in Running the Rift, from the steep hills that Jean Patrick Nkuba trains on, to his love of rocks imparted by his American geology professor. This is your chance to glean an overview of minerals, rocks, & volcanoes, and learn about the unique geological activities specific to the Rift Valley in which Rwanda lies. Michelle Stoklosa has a Ph.D. in geology and teaches at Marylhurst University.
