The Goals and Work of the OCHA - 2/21
Learn about the immigrant experience from Linda Castillo, a first-generation Latina of Mexican heritage. The eldest daughter of farm workers, she was the first in her family to graduate from high school and college. Castillo was appointed by the Governor to the volunteer position on the Oregon Commission on Hispanic Affairs, where she serves as chair. She combines her years of experience working for social justice and Chicano civil rights, and her history of working for Multnomah County and now at the City of Portland with immigrants and refugees to her position with this important state-wide advocacy commission.
