Also images of Blackout and Found Poetry which Lakeridge Junior High's 8th grade English Language Arts students created using passages from Good Morning, Midnight.  Each poem uses the author's exact words, in the order they appear on the page, to create a new poem.  Blackout Poetry consists of finding the right words and highlighting them against a field of black.  Many times a picture will accompany the poem.  In Found Poetry, words are lifted from the original in exact order and transposed onto a blank canvas.  Each poem is about layering new meaning.  300 were created and only a few are shown here.
