Lunch & Tour of Lewis & Clark College Observatory - 2/7

Lunch at a local restaurant and then join Professor of Physics, Stephen Tufte, for a visit to the Lewis & Clark College Observatory. Professor Tufte will introduce you to this facility and give a brief history of Astronomy at Lewis & Clark, much of which involved research on binary star systems. The Ritchey Chretien–style telescope at Lewis & Clark has a 16-inch-diameter mirror, which enables it to gather 3,500 times more light than the naked eye.
