Mini Emergency Preparedness Fair 4/26

To learn how to prepare and protect yourself and your family in the event of a severe winter storm, earthquake, flood, or other disaster, join us for a Mini Emergency Preparedness Fair before the Lake Oswego Reads Author Presentation.
This free event features:

- Reflectors to help you be seen at night
Highlights include:
- Learn how you and your family can Be 2 Weeks Ready
- Learn how to Stop the Bleed. The Lake Oswego Fire Department (LOFD) will teach you life-saving skills to control severe bleeding in emergencies.
- Learn how to make your home more resilient and sustainable. Lake Oswego Sustainability Network will share examples of how your neighbors are generating and storing their own energy and how we can provide free assistance to help you electrify your home.
- Explore FRS/GMRS emergency radios and learn how to communicate with others across the city or beyond with radio! Get a hands-on tutorial on using two-way radios for emergency communications. Lake Oswego Amateur Radio Emergency Service (LOARES) members will join LOFD to share license-free radio options used in neighborhoods in addition to information on how you can become a licensed operator, if desired.
