PrepLO: Working Together After Disaster 4/22

Wednesday, April 22, 2026 - 5:30pm

Learn how the Be 2 Weeks Ready program can help you and your neighbors in the event of a disaster. Kassie and Chris will discuss the objectives of PrepLO and how you can start your own neighborhood group. For information about PrepLO, visit https://www.preplo.org/

Be 2 Weeks Ready is a community-based program that helps people prepare for emergencies alongside their friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. It is organized into eight user-friendly lessons and an activity book (Tool Kit) filled with helpful hints, fun projects and resources to help you prepare for a disaster. By the end of this program, you’ll be confident and prepared when the next disaster strikes.

While this program was designed to be completed in a group setting, it can also be done individually by downloading the Tool Kit below. For groups, Community Hosts selected by an OEM trained Program Coordinator can facilitate the program which consists of 8 units at about 1 hour each.

PrepLO is a committed team of Lake Oswego neighborhood associations joined together to promote self sufficiency and resiliency. We have combined our various education, experience and research to compile our recommendations.  We know that there are many preparation options available, but our recommendations are based on our own experiences and what we feel will be applicable to most people of Lake Oswego.
