About Luscher Farm

COVID-19 Update:  Please note that safety measures are in place during the pandemic.  Luscher is open to the public dawn-dusk daily; however, access to the community gardens is limited to gardeners only.  The farmhouse is also closed to the public. A limited number of programs, including camps & classes are being operated following Oregon Health Authority Guidance.

Luscher Farm, once a dairy operation owned by Rudie and Esther Luscher, was purchased in 1990 by the City of Lake Oswego. The property and buildings are maintained as an agricultural example with the intent to interpret and educate interested visitors in local food and organic plant production.

Community Gardens & Adopt-a-Plot

Community gardens connect people of all ages and backgrounds to the earth and each other. Gardening spans generations with grandparents teaching grandchildren the joy of planting a seed and watching it grow into food for the family table. People from other countries bring plants and cultures to share from their native homelands.
