Adult Programs
Adopt-a-Plot: Luscher Farm is home to an Adopt-a-Plot Program. The Adopt-a-plot program is very unique. By joining this program, participants get access to a 4’x20’ garden bed, seeds and starts, soil, and garden demonstrations. Techniques like organic and sustainable gardening are taught in this program. We aim for this to be a learning opportunity as well as a social benefit! The produce grown will be donated to local Food Banks, Meals on Wheels programs, and used for cooking classes, camps, and field trips here on the farm. Participants may also welcome to some of your produce home for personal use. This program is a wonderful way to learn basic gardening skills before transitioning to a community garden plot, or to build community if you love gardening and volunteering. To enroll, visit the Activity Registration link on this page.
Thanks to the Harvest Helpers, we were able to donate 3,200+ pounds of food in 2024!
Cooking Classes: There are a variety of cooking classes offered for adults at Luscher. We have fantastic contractors focusing on breads, healthy eating, non-alcoholic cocktail making, and other fun receipes. For parents there is also Dynamic Duos, which allows you to spend a few hours harvesting produce (seasonally) and cooking with your little one! To peruse the options, visit the Activity Registration link on this page.
Workshops: We offer workshops for gardeners, include seed starting, seed saving, and winterizing your garden. One of our partners, Friends of Rogerson Clematis, also offers workshops through their website. Another one of our partners, Friends of Luscher Farm, offers Walks & Talks focusing on history and nature.
Volunteering: We always need volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering for field trips, harvest help, or other special projects onsite, please contact Izzy at isigrist@lakeoswego.city.
