Municipal Court Judge Cierra Brown

City of Lake Oswego Municipal Court Judge Cierra Brown was sworn-in at the July 30, 2024 City Council meeting by Clackamas County Circuit Court Judge Heather Karabeika. Judge Brown took the bench on July 31, 2024 following the retirement of The Honorable Wm. Bruce Shepley.

12-1-23 Governor Kotek's Remission Order

On December 1, 2023 Governor Kotek signed an Order on Remission of Fines. Cases in our court are listed beginning on Page 527 of the Order.

COURT TIPS AND CONDUCT

Did you know, most traffic and code violations can be handled over the phone or via email. Please feel free to contact court staff via phone at (503) 635-0217 or via email at municipalcourt@lakeoswego.city.

In addition, when appearing in court you need to be dressed appropriately (no shorts, tank tops, etc). The Judge does not allow hats, food or drinks while in the courtroom. And remember, please silence your cell phones.

About the Lake Oswego Municipal Court

The Municipal Court is the judicial branch of Lake Oswego city government. It has jurisdiction over all violations of city and state laws committed within city limits other than felonies.  The court does not handle civil or small claims cases.

You Have Received a Citation - What Do You Do Now?

Criminal Charges require an appearance in person on the date and time listed on your citation or release agreement. Failure to appear will result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.
