On Saturday, April 13, join Parks & Recreation staff to learn about the relationship between trees and pollinators. Tree species suited to our region and the pollinators they attract will be discussed, then the group will plant pollinator-friendly trees in the park and take home a tree and bee species list to help enhance pollinator habitat in their own yards.
Join us on Thursday, May 29 to learn about the City’s tree code requirements for tree removal permits. This workshop will explore Lake Oswego Code Section 55.02 Tree Removal, including tree code definitions, criteria for permits, and more!

Each year, the City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department teams up with the Planning Department to celebrate Arbor Month! Did you know the City of Lake Oswego is celebrating its 37th year as a Tree City?
**This meeting will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the Swearing in Ceremony of the new Municipal Judge. The remainder of the meeting is expected to resume around 4:00 p.m.**

On Thursday, April 25, our 2024 LO Reads author Thrity Umrigar will visit students from the 3rd-5th grades at Oak Creek Elementary to talk about her picture book Sugar in Milk, and her writing process.
Bring the entire family to the Children’s Library for a reading of Thrity Umrigar’s picture book, Sugar in Milk. Signed copies of the book will be available for free, while supplies last!
