This year's celebration honors the perseverance of the past while uplifting the accomplishments of today’s students and community. “Mafanikio” (mah-fah-NEE-kee-oh) is a Swahili word meaning “success” or “achievement,” chosen by students to represent the journey from freedom to progress.
