Child Safety Seat Clinic

The Lake Oswego Fire Department and the Lake Oswego Police Department hold free quarterly safety seat clinics open to all citizens. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will check for correct installation, damage, recalls, and size and age appropriateness. Each seat takes about 30 minutes to check.

All events are held at the Main Fire Station at 300 B Avenue, at the corner of Third and B. Call 503-635-0275 during regular business hours for more information on the clinics.

Lake Oswego Photo Contest Deadline

Amateur and professional photographers are invited to enter their best images in the Fourth Annual “City of Lake Oswego Photo Contest.” This contest allows people the chance to see the city through your unique lens.

Send in your best photos for a chance to win! In each category:

First place winners will receive a $100 gift card.
Second place winners will receive a $50 gift card.
Third place winners will receive a $25 gift card.

Entries need to be submitted by 5 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

Supervised Computer Lab

A Supervised Lab is available to students every Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Both PC and MAC volunteers are available in the Center to give instruction or answer questions.

Tryon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Facilities Plan Citizen Advisory Committee Meeting

The Tryon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (TCWTP) Facilities Plan Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) will hold a public meeting in the Ponderosa/Lodgepole Room on the 10th floor of the Portland Building at 1120 SW 5th Avenue. The September 13 agenda includes discussion of peak treatment flows and land use criteria.  The CAC meets monthly.
