Amy Leahy, Teaching Pro

I am Amy Leahy. I have been involved in the game of tennis as a player and coach for over 50 years. As a tennis player my highlights are: 1978 High School State Singles Champion for Lincoln High School; College player for University of Oregon from 1981-1984; competing in the USTA 4.5 national 18 and over in 2004; and I participated in the National Senior Intersectionals in 2006. I currently play on a USTA 4.5 mixed and a women’s 4.5 team. I have been teaching for the past 40 years. My favorite thing about teaching is getting players active on the court playing the game as quickly as possible. I love teaching doubles, stressing movement, position, and shot selection. In my spare time I like to be active, bike riding, hiking, walking, kayaking, and of course playing tennis.
