Lake Oswego Little League completes games in the Little League World Series!!!!

Game 3 Results: LO Little League finished the three-game tournament with 12 hits, scoring all of its runs in the second inning of Tuesday’s 14-6 loss to North Manchester-Hookset, N.H.

Game 2 Results:  Lake Oswego Little League lost 3-0 in a defensive battle against South Dakota.  The Lakers now move onto the elimination bracket and play New Hampshire Tuesday.  8/24 at 4:30 pm PST on ESPN. 

 

Congratulations to the Lake Oswego Little League All-Stars who are representing the Northwest Region in the 2021 Little League World Series!  The LO Little League won their first game Friday, August 20 against Pennsylvania, 8-2!  The pitcher hit a 3 run home run! 

After a rain delay and rescheduling due to rainout: Game 2 was Monday, August 23, 12 pm PST on ESPN vs South Dakota, the winner of the Midwest (South Dakota)  vs Southwest (Louisiana) regions.

Lake Oswego prevailed as Oregon State Champions qualifying for the Regional competition. Due to Covid International Teams will not be able to participate in the World Series so the top two teams from each region will be battling it out for the title.  Through the elimination bracket, they made it to the championship game losing 2-1 to Sammamish, WA.  Both Oregon and Washington will represent the Northwest Region at the 2021 Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.

Joining Washington out of the Northwest Region is Lake Oswego Little League, managed by Chris Kelly and coached by Tony Sturgeon and Brad Smith. After losing to Washington in their first game, 5-0, their offense came alive, winning the next three games by a combined 37-1 score before falling in the region championship to the very same Washington team. Returning to Williamsport after a 2007 appearance, Lake Oswego Little League is the home to NBA superstars, Klay Thompson and Kevin Love, and this year’s team will face Pennsylvania in their first game at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 20, on ESPN.
