Welcome to Live & Local, a new pilot program hosted by the City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department at the new Lake Oswego Recreation & Aquatic Center (LORAC). This summer series brings together live music and local food in a relaxed, community-focused setting. Held on the last Thursday of each month from May through September, each event features a rotating food truck and live local musician, creating a fresh experience each time.

Join us for an evening of great music, local flavor, and community connection at Live & Local.
Enjoy live music from the Tyler Waltner Jazz Trio, known for their dynamic blend of blues, swing, bebop, hard bop, Latin, funk, and modern jazz. Their sound weaves together complex rhythms and rich, expressive harmonies, creating a unique and engaging musical experience.
Food for the evening will be provided by Beijing Bro, a locally owned Portland-based mobile food business serving bold, authentic Chinese street food. Whether you are a longtime fan or trying it for the first time, their flavorful dishes are the perfect complement to a night of live music.
Bring your friends, grab a bite, and enjoy a relaxed evening at LORAC.

- Dates: Last Thursdays in May through September - May 28, June 25, July 30, August 27 & September 24, 2026
- Time: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., music 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Eligible Vendor Types:
- Hot Food Vendors Only (prepared onsite for immediate consumption) - Food Trucks, Carts and Canopy Set Ups permitted. *We are not accepting alcohol vendors at this time.
Vendor Selection Criteria:
- Vendors are selected to ensure a positive, high-quality experience for attendees. Participation in this pilot program is limited, and selection is based on overall fit for the series. Please read the 2026 Vendor Rules & Guidelines for full selection criteria.
- *Please note we aim to have a different vendor each month, but please include all dates you are available for in your application.
About the LORAC:
The Lake Oswego Recreation & Aquatics Center (LORAC) features two pools, an executive 9-hole golf course, a driving range, gymnasium, weight and cardio areas, and a variety of group fitness classes. The facility is especially busy during the summer months, and visitors have expressed strong interest in having food options available onsite. There is no application fee or booth fee for this pilot program. As this is a new event series, we do not yet have historical attendance or sales data to share. This pilot season is intended to help establish the event and evaluate future opportunities.
