Parks and Recreation Summer Camps
REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW - OFFERINGS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Our summer camps will look a bit different this year but we can’t wait to see you! We are taking extra precautions to minimize risk and exposure to Covid-19 that align with the Oregon Health Authority, Center for Disease Control and Oregon Governor’s office recommendations. Please read below for some of the changes we will be implementing. One thing you can count on staying the same is our commitment to safety, learning and fun!
No more than ten (10) campers per group. All our camp registrations have been limited to 10 or are being established into groups of 10. Campers will not be interacting with other camps or groups. Due to this restriction, we will not be permitting registrations for both AM/PM camps in the same week.
Limiting shared equipment. Campers will be provided individual supply kits that will be theirs to use throughout the week or equipment solely designated for a single group. Any shared materials will be sanitized between uses or practices.
Promoting physical distancing. Campers will be encouraged to remain 6 feet from each other during camp projects, activities and games. Contact sports are taking a break this summer! Sports camp offerings have been modified to meet OHA guidelines.
Increased cleaning, hand-washing, and sanitizing. Our staff are working hard to make sure every surface, restroom and crayon is clean and safe for each camper to use. We will be encouraging campers to increase their awareness of personal hygiene and cleaning protocols.
Masks? Yep! Our staff will likely be wearing masks when you see us. But don’t worry, we’re still smiling and making you feel welcome at camp! Campers will not be required to wear masks at this time.
