Park Shelter Reservations

Picnic shelters may be used on a first come, first serve use as long as there is not a reservation in progress.  The 2024 reservation season runs April 1 - September 30.  You may make reservations at www.loparks.org.

How to make a reservation?

Rentals for picnic shelter use may be made by going to www.loparks.org.  Reservations will not be taken less than 7 days in advance of the reservation date.

When may picnic shelters be rented?

Picnic shelters may be rented for use between April 1 and September 30, 2024. 

What picnic shelters may be rented?

  • George Rogers Park Shelter #1 - up to 50
  • George Rogers Park Shelter #2 - up to 75​
  • Rossman Park Shelter - up to 25 (no restrooms available)
  • Waluga East Shelter - up to 75
  • Waluga West Shelter - up to 50
  • Westlake Shelter - up to 50

What is the cost for renting a shelter?

Reservations are in 3-hour blocks.  There is a merchant processing fee for online picnic shelter transactions.

2024 Fees:

  Each 3-hour time block Refundable Deposit
Residents $85 $100
Non-Residents $127.50 $100

 

What times are available for reservations?

  • Morning block: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Afternoon block: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Evening block : 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A Maximum of two contiguous blocks are allowed per reservation. This now can be completed online at loparks.org.

Your rental starts and ends promptly at the stated time. The hour between blocks is needed so the shelter can be serviced.  Shelter set-up and clean-up must occur within reservation block times for a full refund of your deposit.

No repeated meetings or gatherings are allowed. Commercial Activity: It is prohibited for any person to engage in any commercial activity in a Park Property except as approved by the Director pursuant to a reservation of park facilities.

How can I view picnic shelter availability from April 1 through September 30, 2024?

Go to: https://www.loparks.org. Click on "Reservations" on the menu bar.  Click on the Shelter you want to reserve and view the calendar for available openings.  You will need to create an account and be logged in to make a reservation.
