Rassekh Park Grand Opening Celebration
We are excited to invite you to the grand opening of Rassekh Park on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.! Come celebrate this new community park, which brings together play, connection, and discovery with a large playground, a covered picnic area and gathering space, and a state-of-the-art skatepark. The new playground features an inclusive design with something fun for all ages and abilities, including a large tower with two slides, a natural boulder and wood climbing wall, nature play elements, musical features, and more. Join us for an afternoon of music, sweet treats, a highest ollie contest on the skatepark, and lots of playground fun as we officially open the park and celebrate this exciting addition to Lake Oswego.
When: Saturday, October 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Rassekh Park, 18011 Stafford Road
How to Get There & Parking Info: We encourage nearby neighbors to walk, bike, or roll to the event! For those driving, please park at the Lake Osewgo Recreation & Aquatics Center parking lot at 17525 Stafford Road and plan ahead to walk or roll to the site (about 5-10 minutes). No parking on site for the event, and please note that there is no street parking available along Atherton Drive. If you need accomodations for accessible parking on the site or would like to drop someone off please contact Kyra Haggart at 503-697-6576 in advance of the event.
Event Activities: Sweet treats will be provided by Rosa's Churros (free for the first 100 attendees!) along with a hot cocoa bar. Join us at 2:00 p.m. under the picnic shelter for speeches from City leaders, followed by a ribbon cutting at the large play tower. We will have a self-guided tour of the playground, games, and music. Skaters, bring your boards for the highest ollie contest at 2:45 p.m. and grab some merch from Oswego Skate Co!
