Roehr Park

Roehr Park closed through November for safety.  We are not taking any reservations for the 2020 season.

The renovation of the Roehr Park pathway is underway near Foothills.  The construction must take place during the summer when river levels are low.  Trail and bridge replacement work consists of replacing and re-grading asphalt, removal of three small wood bridges, construction of one new pre-fab wood bridge, the installation of several culverts, and the relocation of signs.  Landscape includes seeding and some plantings.  Protective fencing is in place.  Please note this is an active construction site with many hazards and the site is closed for the safety of the contractor and the public.  The project is expected to be completed in late fall.

The closure includes the trail from the north end of 300 Oswego Pointe to the south boundary, the Roehr Amphitheater, Dolphin (barrel), restrooms and Roehr dock.

It is important to note that there has also been a dramatic increase in park traffic at this site this summer.  During this time, physical distancing has not been maintained and overcrowding continued to be a problem.  This was another important safety factor leading to the decision to close the park.
