Youth Action Council (YAC)

Applications for the 2025-26 school year will open in the Spring!

What is YAC?
The Youth Action Council works directly with Parks & Recreation to plan, promote and implement community activities. It is an opportunity for students to define immediate and long-term needs in the community and attempt to meet those needs throughout the school year. YAC has successfully planned sports leagues, volunteer opportunities, planning sessions for City Council and recreational events/activities within Lake Oswego.

Meeting Information
The Youth Action Council has mandatory meetings on the first Tuesday of the month, September - June.

Eligibility & Membership
Applicants must be in high school and able to commit to mandatory meetings and 30 hours of volunteered time with meetings, events and activities held throughout the school year. Applications open in March for the following school year.
