2025 Pavement Rehabilitation

Paving is expected to take place on some streets in Lake Oswego in spring 2025. Paving may include extensive repair areas, grinding existing pavement, and a new overlay or pavement of the driving lanes.

April 9, 2025

Revised paving schedule is as follows:

This week, crews are planning to pave Crest Drive and Glenmorrie Drive. For Crest Drive paving, one lane is expected to be open at most times during the paving operation. Residents and businesses in the work area will have access most of the time but may face longer delays entering or leaving their driveways. Vehicles cannot drive on the new asphalt for a few hours until it cools and dries. Please park elsewhere or allow extra travel time on paving days.

For Glenmorrie Drive paving planned for Thursday April 10 and Friday, April 11, this will require a full width rolling road closure. Crews plan on starting paving at 8 am near Old River Road, and working up the hill towards Highway 43/State Street. Once the new asphalt is placed, vehicles will need to wait for up to two hours until the pavement dries/cools to be able to drive on it. Please plan extra travel time during this pavement work, and follow flaggers direction or signage. A detour will be in place along Old River Road during the paving work.

Preliminary preparation work has started on Crest Drive and Glenmorrie Drive ahead of planned paving work. A portion of McNary Parkway, between Jefferson Parkway and Monroe Parkway has also been added to the paving list for some patching work. See the current paving schedule table below. 

March 18, 2025

City Council approved the contract for the 2025 paving season on March 4, 2025. 

Preliminary work is expected to start in late March, with major paving in April or May. 

The current paving schedule and planned work hours for each street is set as follows. This schedule is subject to change depending on conditions and weather.

Existing speed bumps and berms will be reinstalled in late April. Striping/pavement markings typically are placed about two weeks after paving.

What to Expect on Paving Days:

• Most paving work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Work on Oakridge Rd is expected to occur in the early evening hours, from 7 p.m.—midnight.
• Road or lane closures will be in place—please follow signage or flagger’s directions.
• Residents and businesses in the work area will have access most of the time but may face longer delays entering or leaving their driveways. Vehicles cannot drive on the new asphalt for a few hours until it cools and dries. Please park elsewhere or allow extra travel time on paving days.
• On-street parking will be prohibited in the paving zone. Watch for no parking signs—vehicles may be towed to avoid delays.
• Activities may include grinding away old pavement, jackhammering concrete before paving, and compacting asphalt with vibratory rollers. Construction noise, dust and vibration is expected for nearby properties.

The following streets are planned for paving rehabilitation:

• Firwood Road, from Albertsons to Waluga Drive
• Oakridge Road, from USPS to Quarry Road
• Crest Drive, from Wembley Park Road to Ridgecrest Drive
• Middlecrest Road, from Ridgeway Road to Lakewood Road
• Glenmorrie Drive, from Hwy 43 to Old River Road
• A portion of Woodland Terrace, from approximately 1612 to 1551
• A portion of Westview Circle, from Westview Drive to 2933 Westview Circle 

More information will be shared in spring 2025 once a contractor is hired and a schedule is set for the paving dates.
