2026 Pavement Rehabilitation

Paving is expected to take place on several streets in Lake Oswego in late spring/summer 2026. Paving activities may include extensive repair areas, grinding existing pavement, a new overlay or pavement of the driving lanes, new curb ramps, signal improvements, storm drains, and some waterline upgrades.

The following streets are planned for this summer’s paving project:

• Kruse Way, from Bangy Road to Daniel Way,
• Bangy Road, from south of Kruse Way to Burma Road,
• Kruse Oaks Drive, from Kruse Way to Meadows Road,
• Hallmark Drive, from Mercantile Drive to Douglas Way,
• Collins Way, from Hallmark Drive to Boones Ferry Road, and
• Douglas Way, from Hallmark Drive to Boones Ferry Road.

Other work also includes:

• Major upgrades to the existing signalization detection at 5 intersections:
  • Kruse Way and Carman Drive,
  • Kruse Way and Westlake Drive,
  • Kruse Way and Kruse Oaks Drive,
  •  Bangy Road and Meadows Road, and
  • Bangy Road and Bonita Road.
• 60 new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) curb ramps, 44 mostly located at the intersections with the paving limits, and 16 located in other areas of the city that were identified as high priority under the ADA Transition Plan.
• About 200 ft of new waterline on Hallmark Drive, between Collins Way and Mercantile Drive.

Schedule and Phasing

Curb ramps, signal detection improvements, and waterline work is expected to be taking place in the first phase of construction in June or July. Phase two includes major paving, striping, and restoration work.

Most of phase one activities will take place during the day from 7 am - 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Lane closures and sidewalk closures will be in place, especially for the curb ramps, signals, waterline, and storm drain work.

Major asphalt grinding and paving work is expected to take place in July/August/September. To minimize traffic and business impacts, nighttime paving will take place on Kruse Way, Bangy Road, Kruse Oaks Drive, and Douglas Way from 8 pm - 6 am. Hallmark Drive and Collins Way are expected to be paved during daytime hours, 7 am - 6 pm. Expect delays and plan extra travel time. Lane closures and shifting traffic will be in place.

Project Updates

July 10, 2026

Work is progressing on the curb ramps along Bangy Road. Crews hope to have the curb ramps complete at the Bangy x Bonita intersection next week, and then they'll move north towards Bangy and Meadows intersection. 

Paving on Hallmark, Collins and a portion of Douglas Way is tentatively scheduled to take place the week of July 20. Once dates are confirmed they will be updated here. 

Paving on Bangy Road is expected sometime in late July or early August. 

Paving on Kruse Way is expected sometime in late August or early September. 

June 2026

Crews have been focused on the signal detection work on Kruse Way and Bangy Road, waterline work on Hallmark Drive, and curb ramp work for the ADA curb ramp project. Hallmark Drive from Collins to Mercantile is currently closed to all through traffic 24/7. Local access is maintained. 

Curb ramp work has started on Bangy Road, and will be followed by Kruse Way. Expect lane closures and sidewalk detours in place during the curb ramp work. 

Major paving dates are yet to be scheduled, but Hallmark, Collins Way, and Douglas are expected to be paved sometime in mid-July. Night work will follow on Kruse Way and Bangy Road for major paving in August.

Once schedules are released, they will be posted here. 

May 2026

Crews are expected to start work on the waterline and curb ramp improvements on Hallmark Drive first, in late May or early June.

Signal detection work and curb ramp work along Kruse Way and Bangy Road is also expected to take place in June.

Watch for temporary road closures on Hallmark Drive for the waterline work, and lane closures or traffic shifts on Kruse Way or Bangy Road for the curb ramp work.

April 2026

The project is currently out to bid for a general contractor. A contractor is expected to be hired in mid-May, with construction starting in late-May or early June.
