Arbor Day Poetry Contest Awards

In celebration of Oregon Arbor Week, National Arbor Day and National Poetry Month, the City of Lake Oswego hosted a poetry contest for 1st through 12th grade Lake Oswego students throughout April. Prize packs will be awarded at a poetry reading hosted by the Lake Oswego Public Library. First, second and third prize winners will be selected in each of three divisions: 1st-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade. Winning poems will be published in the Lake Oswego Review and on the City’s website, and printed copies will be available at the Lake Oswego Library Poetry Post. Prize winning poets may also have the opportunity to participate in the Peregrine Literary Series reading on Sunday, September 18, 2016.
