Can You Recommend Board Members?
Greetings from City Hall!
As leaders of organizations that bring together broad swaths of our community, I am hoping to enlist your help in recruiting connected and engaged residents to serve on the City’s Boards and Commissions.
These positions, appointed by the City Council, provide regular input on local policy and help members of the Council stay abreast of emerging community needs. We need people in these roles who work well with others, are passionate about the charge of their board, and who bring a unique perspective to the conversation. To this end, would you be willing to share the attached flyer with your membership?
Alternatively, if there are specific community members you think would thrive in this role, would you consider reaching out to them directly and encouraging them to apply? We are recruiting adults and, for six of our boards, youth applicants, so please spread the word among the high schoolers in your network as well!
