Foothills Opportunities & Constraints Open House
The City is making progress in its effort to update the Foothills District Framework Plan (Plan), which outlines how the Foothills neighborhood should grow and change over time.
An extensive public engagement campaign is now underway for the project, including stakeholder identification and outreach, Planning Commission work sessions, City Council study sessions, developer interviews, professionally-moderated focus groups with Lake Oswego Residents, and meetings of both a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and a Technical Advisory Committee. The project team recently completed a detailed technical assessment of existing conditions in the neighborhood, including a comprehensive analysis of opportunities and constraints. To review this information and share your thoughts, please join us for an upcoming Open House event, which will be held at the Adult Community Center on Thursday, February 26 at 6:00 PM. For those who are not able to make it to the Open House, the City has also developed a project Story Map that includes several survey questions for members of the public to provide input. Please click on the link above, or scan the QR code below, to begin interacting with the Story Map and help guide the vision and actions that define the district’s future!
Additionally, the Foothills CAC is scheduled to conduct their fifth meeting on February 10, 2026, to discuss guiding principles that should inform the development of conceptual land use and circulation scenarios for the District.
