Foothills Preliminary Concepts Open House

Thursday, July 9, 2026 - 5:30pm

The City is continuing to make notable progress in its effort to update the Foothills District Framework Plan, which outlines how the Foothills neighborhood should grow and change over time.

Earlier this year, the project team developed and refined a Vision and Guiding Principles for the future of the neighborhood based on the results of extensive outreach with Lake Oswego residents and stakeholders. Preliminary Development Concepts were then created for the Foothills District that reflect this vision, and these are now available for public discussion and stakeholder input. Each concept presents unique land use and circulation patterns that explore a different way to reconnect downtown Lake Oswego to the Willamette River, create a walkable mixed-use waterfront district, support diverse housing types that meet community needs, and provide necessary flexibility for long-term implementation.

To review this information and share your thoughts, please join us for the second Foothills Plan Update Open House event, which will be held at the Oswego Pointe Village Clubhouse (5065 Foothills Drive.) on Thursday, July 9th at 5:30 PM.  Click here to register in advance for the meeting.

Additionally, please keep the following events on your radar as the discussion continues in the coming months:

Please also note that the Story Map is still available online and is being updated as the project progresses. Please click on the link above, or scan the QR code below, to check out the Story Map and help guide the vision and actions that define the district’s future!
