Middle Housing Community Forum #1

Posted Wed, 11/24/2021 - 12:12pm

The Middle Housing Code Advisory Committee (“MHCAC”) recently presented their recommendations to the City Council, pursuant to the Council initiative to “Adopt codes that comply with HB 2001 … that are consistent with the community’s sense of place, neighborhood character, and livability.”

The MHCAC’s recommendations will be presented both through a website, which will go live on December 3, and at a virtual Community Forum that will be conducted via Zoom on Thursday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m. – click here to register. Both options will include opportunities to provide public input on the MHCAC’s recommendations prior to the City developing draft code amendments.

Once the Planning Commission has reviewed the draft recommended code amendments, the City will again seek feedback from the broader community at a second Community Forum, tentatively scheduled for February 2022, before finalizing the amendments for review in public hearings.
