The City of Lake Oswego is hosting an Urban & Community Forestry Workshop for arborists, builders, contractors and other professionals on Thursday, September 15, 2016, from 12:00 to 1:30 pm in Council Chamber at City Hall, 380 A Avenue.
Learn about Lake Oswego tree code requirements with Planning Department staff, the City’s Code Enforcement Specialist, and the City’s contract arborist.
Explore the City’s tree code requirements for tree protection and tree removal permits, including recent code amendments (now in effect) that pertain to the construction of sewer laterals, water lines, and similar utility work.
This workshop includes an indoor presentation and an outdoor demonstration with examples of measuring tree diameter, tree protection fencing, techniques for protecting trees during construction, and more.
