Planning Department Boards and Commissions
The Planning Commission is a seven-member citizen advisory body appointed by the City Council. It meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. to review long range planning issues, neighborhood planning, and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and implementing ordinances. The Planning Commission focuses on land use policy issues and makes recommendations to the City Council on such issues, based on criteria outlined in the City's Comprehensive Plan and Community Development Code.
The Development Review Commission is a seven-member citizen advisory body appointed by the City Council. It meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. to review development applications for compliance with the City’s land use and design regulations, based on criteria outlined in the City's Comprehensive Plan and Community Development Code.
Historic Resources Advisory Board
The Historic Resources Advisory Board is an eight-member (including one youth member) citizen advisory body appointed by the City Council. It meets the second Wednesday of each month to promote and foster the historic, educational, architectural, cultural, economic, and general welfare of the public through the identification, preservation, restoration, and protection of those structures, sites, objects, and districts of historic and cultural interest within the city.
