Metro - is the directly elected regional government that serves more than 1.3 million residents in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties, and the 24 cities in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area.
DLCD - The Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) is the administrative arm of the Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC).
Statewide Planning Goals - Since 1973, Oregon has maintained a strong statewide program for land use planning. The foundation of that program is a set of 19 Statewide Planning Goals.
LUBA –The Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) was created by legislation in 1979 (ORS Chapter 197) and has exclusive jurisdiction to review all governmental land use decisions, whether legislative or quasi-judicial in nature.
APA – The American Planning Association (APA) is an independent, not-for-profit educational organization that provides leadership in the development of vital communities.
