April 22 2023 Drug Takeback Event Results

LAKE OSWEGO - On Saturday, April 22, 2023, Adult Resource Officer Tony Sparling, Evidence Technician Nikki Spiegel, and Officer Steve Chon participated in the twice-yearly DEA Drug Takeback! The event was conducted as a Drive Thru and was very successful!  We assisted 352 residents in disposing of a total of 599.5 pounds of prescription and over-the-counter meds, filling up 16 boxes! During the previous Takeback Day, on October 29, 2022, we assisted 276 residents in disposing of a total of 404.5 pounds, filling up 11 boxes.

It was a very busy event, with almost non-stop traffic and some foot traffic.

The next DEA Take Back Day is tentatively scheduled for October 2023. Keep an eye out for details closer to the event!
