Community Conversation on Policing April 2022 Council Presentation

On April 5, 2022, the Lake Oswego Police Department presented its 2021 annual report to the City Council to report on the activities of the department over the last year. This presentation came from the recommendations noted in the Community Conversation on Policing report with the goal of making the department’s activities more transparent and building trust with the community. The presentation discussed staffing at the agency and covered the number and types of incidents and calls for service LOPD officers respond to, the number and types of traffic violations cited, elements of the Oregon STOP report discussing who was stopped, the department’s Behavioral Health Specialist, Use of Force, and officer complaints. The recorded Council presentation can be found on the City’s YouTube channel here.
