Detective Division
Going the extra mile
The primary mission of the detective division is to support the patrol division by assisting with complex and long-term criminal investigations.
The Lake Oswego Police Department detective division consists of:
- 3 detectives
- 1 Adult Resource Officer
- 1 Digital Forensic Examiner
- 1 sergeant.
Detectives are experienced police officers who are selected to serve up to six years in the detective division. They receive advanced training in investigative techniques, evidence collection, child abuse, financial investigations, crime scene investigations, homicide, search warrants, interviewing, and many other topics.
Our detectives are also members of the Clackamas County Major Crimes Team, consisting of investigators from each of the law enforcement agencies in Clackamas County. The Major Crimes Team works cooperatively to investigate major crimes that require more resources than any one agency possesses.
Our detectives are on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
If you would like to speak to a detective, you can call our non-emergency line at (503) 635-0238 and ask to speak to a detective.
