LAKE OSWEGO – On Friday, August 8, 2014, Lori Lee Davis (DOB: 11/20/1930) of Lake Oswego, was cited and released for Reckless Driving after she crashed her vehicle into a building and two other vehicles at 333 S. State Street.

At 10:24 am, Lake Oswego Police started receiving numerous 911 calls reporting that an elderly woman had crashed her car into a building and some parked cars. Several officers responded and determined that no one was injured, but there was a significant amount of damage to the building, a curb, a parked car and a pickup truck that was driving through the parking lot at the time. The total damage value is currently estimated to be approximately $10-20,000.

Witnesses reported that Mrs. Davis crashed into the building while trying to park her car in the parking space in front of the club. After she hit the building, she put the car in reverse and seemed to have accelerated rapidly, breaking a section of curb that was adjacent to the parking space before slamming into a parked car. Her vehicle continued to drive quickly in reverse until it struck a pickup truck that was driving towards the exit of the parking lot. After she hit the truck, she started to drive forward again. Witnesses said they were attempting to get her to stop, but she seemed to be confused and it took a few seconds to get her to stop the car.

This is a business complex that had numerous people walking in and out of businesses and driving in and out of the parking lot, and we were very fortunate that no one was injured in this incident. Mrs. Davis was cited and released for Reckless Driving at the scene.
