Lake Oswego Man Charged with Attempting to Engage In a Sexual Relationship With a 17-year-old
LAKE OSWEGO – On Monday, March 29, 2021, a 41-year-old Lake Oswego man turned himself in at the Clackamas County Jail for a warrant stemming from an incident in early February in Lake Oswego. The man, Manuel Ricardo Espinoza (DOB: 10/21/1979), had been communicating with a 17-year-old child in an attempt to engage in a sexual relationship. When the incident occurred, Lake Oswego Police officers and detectives intercepted Mr. Espinoza at a local park as he was on his way to meet the victim with condoms and alcohol.
Mr. Espinoza is being charged by the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office with:
- ORS 167.057 Luring a Minor (3 counts)
- ORS 163.425 Attempted Sex Abuse 2
- ORS 471.410 Attempted Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor
At this time, police are unaware of any other victims, but we encourage anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of Mr. Espinoza to contact the Lake Oswego Police Department at (503) 635-0238.
