LAKE OSWEGO – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Lake Oswego Police Department (LOPD) has unveiled a specially outfitted patrol car in pink, symbolizing our solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. This initiative aims to raise awareness and express our department’s commitment to supporting breast cancer survivors, their families, and the ongoing fight against this devastating disease.

In addition to the pink patrol car, all LOPD staff have been issued special pink badges for the month of October. These badges serve as a visual reminder of our department’s dedication to raising awareness and offering support to those impacted by breast cancer. The LOPD has also proudly developed a partnership with the Pink Lemonade Project, a local organization dedicated to educate, empower and support all communities affected by breast cancer. Our officers and staff have engaged in various fundraising efforts to contribute to the vital programs that provide assistance, education, and support for families navigating this challenging journey.

We want to take this opportunity to remind our community about the importance of prevention and routine screening for early diagnosis of breast cancer. Early detection saves lives, and we encourage everyone to stay proactive about their health and well-being. The Lake Oswego Police Department remains committed to standing with those affected by breast cancer and contributing to the cause through awareness, support, and action.
