LOCOM Dispatchers Graduate from Basic Telecommunicator Academy

Congratulations to our newest Basic Telecommunicator Academy Graduates, Kelly Koch and Ian Belin! On April 12, 2024, Kelly and Ian completed three weeks at the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) academy in Salem in order to receive their Basic Certification, which the State requires for emergency dispatchers. This required training is to help establish a baseline of essential knowledge while developing dispatch and call-taking-related skills that students can take with them as they continue their training at their dispatch agencies. Both Ian and Kelly came to us with prior dispatch experience in other states, and we are really happy to have them both on our team!
