LOPD Enforcement & Education Campaign
Lake Oswego to Conduct Enforcement & Education Campaign
Every day, Lake Oswego's roadways are shared not only by local residents, but also by thousands of commuters. To help keep everyone on the road safe, the Lake Oswego Police Department (LOPD) will be conducting a city-wide enforcement and education campaign on Thursday, October 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On October 21, LOPD will be joined by officers from Canby, Gladstone, Happy Valley, Milwaukie, Oregon City and West Linn police departments, along with Deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, to focus on distracted driving, speeding and other traffic violations in school zones and other areas of concern.
With the goal of reducing the number of traffic crashes that occur in Lake Oswego and surrounding areas, LOPD has assisted neighboring jurisdictions, including Oregon City and Milwaukie, in similar traffic saturation campaigns.
