LOPD Investigate Bomb Threat at Lake Oswego High School
LAKE OSWEGO – On Thursday evening, December 8, 2022, Lake Oswego Police became aware of a bomb threat that was made on the social media app, TikTok, directed at the Lake Oswego High School. The Lake Oswego School District employees were notified of the threat via the SafeOregon tip line and notified police immediately. At this point, there is no information to suggest that the threat is credible, but we are continuing to investigate the incident. As a precautionary measure, we will have an increased presence at the Lake Oswego High School throughout the day tomorrow, Friday, December 9, 2022.
Anyone with information about the source of this threat is encouraged to contact the Lake Oswego Police Department non-emergency line at (503) 635-0238. You can also submit an anonymous tip on the police department website here: https://www.ci.oswego.or.us/police/webforms/submit-tip. There have been similar threats in the Portland area and around the country, and we will provide updated information if it becomes available.
